About the Role
Mirai RiskTech is seeking a Junior Informatica PowerCenter Developer with a strong foundation in ETL processes and a willingness to continue growing in the data integration field. In this role, you will support the development, maintenance, and improvement of ETL workflows within the Informatica PowerCenter ecosystem.
You will work closely with senior developers, business analysts, and other technical teams to translate functional requirements into reliable and efficient technical solutions. This position is ideal for someone with a solid technical base, strong analytical skills, and motivation to learn and contribute to Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, following coding best practices
- Support data mapping and basic data modeling activities for Data Warehouse and Data Mart structures
- Perform unit testing and participate in integration and UAT testing under the guidance of senior team members
- Collaborate in code migration processes across environments and help manage incremental and scheduled data loads
- Contribute to ETL monitoring and operational support, including issue identification and basic troubleshooting
- Follow data governance guidelines, including documentation standards, data quality checks, and metadata updates
- Work with cross‑functional teams (QA, DBAs, business analysts) to understand requirements and provide technical support
- Document processes, mappings, and ETL logic to ensure project maintainability
- Execute basic data validation routines to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including log reviews and monitoring activities
- Participate in code review sessions as a learner to understand development standards
- Support small automation tasks under guidance (e.g., simple scripts or workflow improvements)
Your profile
We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in technology. The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Is interested in developing advanced skills in Informatica PowerCenter, ETL process performance, and data modeling
- Applies basic software development and data engineering concepts, with some hands-on experience supporting ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Working knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL development, and data modeling to assist in data processing and reporting tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- English proficiency at B2 or higher (required)
- 1+ years of hands‑on experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter
- Experience participating in Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse projects
- Knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in SQL
- Basic to intermediate experience with Control‑M or similar job schedulers
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, work proactively, and collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments
- Basic understanding of Git or other version control systems
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Basic proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, Jira, Notion, etc.)
Location
This position is based in Mexico City and primarily follows a remote work model, with occasional on-site meetings as needed for business purposes.
